Lion King 1?, TheLion King 1?, The (2004)

IMDB rating: 6.40

Plot: Imagine a cross between _Lion King, The (1994)_ (qv) and _Back to the Future Part II (1989)_ (qv). This is a separate story thread, that of Timon and Pumbaa, intertwined with the original story. Thus, along with seeing new events (e.g. Timon’s departure from the meerkat colony, Timon and Pumbaa’s first meeting, the origin of “Hakuna Matata”), we get to see a new perspective on (and some previously unseen causes for) some of the events in the original film. Oh, and the whole thing is told in a _”Mystery Science Theater 3000″ (1988)_ (qv) framework, with Timon and Pumbaa narrating and interacting with the “onscreen” movie.

I like the anime style in prince of egypt and sinbad. But story wise i like fox and the hound, anastacia and beauty and the beast.

Dam just found out sinbad and prince of egypt isnt disney lol, its dreamworks, but the guy who made dreamworks used to work for disney until he got fired.

Sense the irony, Walk Disney, WD, DreamWorks is WD backwards DW. Lol.

1. Alice in Wonderland- This movie puts all of Disney’s "Princess movies" to shame. It’s dark, it’s funny, it’s meaningful, and it teaches some disturbing life lessons that as children we were probably too silly to understand, but as adults we really appreciate (which is a rare and surprising treat).

2. Peter Pan- I have a bit of a Peter Pan syndrome myself, so it would naturally make sense for this movie to appeal to me. Not to mention that no matter how many remakes and adaptations from the original story there are, I will like Disney’s interpretation the best. It feels like Pan.

3. The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh- It was transformed from my favorite book to one of my favorite films of all time. Pooh (with a little help from his friends) taught me very early on the importance of just "being".

4. One Hundred and One Dalmatians- A good, old-fashioned tale of overcoming adversity and sticking together as a family the way that only Disney knows how to tell. This movie frightened me as a child, and I had no idea how someone could be so inherently evil as to kill cute little puppies for a coat. Now that’s one of the reasons it is one of my favorites. Disney doesn’t apologize for scaring kids. He basically says "That’s who Cruella is. Get the mean lady!"

5. The Lion King- One of the saddest, and in turn most touching films I’ve ever seen. We get to see Simba grow from a rebellious I’m-always-right cub, to a strong and reliant leader who would do anything to protect his family. "Remember who you are"… What a nice story…
