Creationist, I watched Expelled last night (Ben Stein's movie)?
The Intelligent design scientist kept insisting that their theory is not that life is so complicated that it must be "God did it." They never stated what their evidence is. Do any of you know?
Thanks in advance
Servant of Jesus Christ> I’m doing something illeagal? You know as much about the law as you do science.
The movie was not about evidence for ID, but how people like Guillermo Gonzalez were treated.
Some of the evidence is the Big Bang (the universe came into existence so it had a cause), and that the universe is fine tuned for life to be possible on earth and probably no where else. The cell had to have come into existence all at once; it is irreducibly complex and could not have evolved. The Cambrian explosion shows new creatures appear fully developed without transitional links. There is much more.

If I was in that movie, I would have converted Ben Stein on the spot by my answers.

Duh!
Intelligent Design is just like Military Intelligence, Biblical Archaeology and Business ethics, an oxymoron.
LONG LIVE THE SOUND SCIENTIFIC THEORY OF EVOLUTION!!!

99.99% of creationist doctrine is attacking the science that proves religious beliefs to be no more than nonsensical gibberish. The remaining 0.01% is when they add in a side note, "Oh and the Intelligent Designer we’re talking about is the Christian god and no other." Even though nothing in the creationist doctrine can prove that is was the Christian god and not any other god or spiritual energy that mankind has believed in over the ages.

Hehe, you are asking for evidence for an event theists themselves claim was intentionally hidden by god so as not to prove he exists.
Intelligent Design is a self-defeating concept.

The point of the program was NOT to downplay any theory, necessarily. The point was to make people aware that ID was not considered as a viable option for discussion in the scientific community. The movie points out the unfair tactics used by the scientific community to censure any questions regarding evolution and the Big Bang.
GOD bless

I have given you Evidence many times and you ignore it! Instead of repeating a question 20 or more times why don’t you try to look for a topic which will give you a positive experience . It seems that you are stalking Christians by the use of this web and this I believe is illegal if you check it out!
Sadly you never have anything to contribute here! Maybe when you are a little older and can think for your self instead of parroting what some one else is feeding you you will be able to make a positive impact on society.

I think that movie mainly focused on the fact that they can’t even pursue anything from the standpoint of Intelligent Design. The scientific community is entirely anti-God and anti-ID and that an attempt to look at anything from that viewpoint means people are fired, ridiculed, and etc. I think there are many websites that explain what creationists believe and what ID people believe. I’ve read sites both for and against. ID is not necessary creationism.

Expelled was literally as bias as you can get toward Creationism. They presented evolution out of context, and from an ignorant point of view. Now if you are asking for more, there isn’t any. Like I said, it was already presented as bias as it could be. In science, there is absolutely no debate toward Creationism. It doesn’t even qualify as a hypothesis, let alone a theory.
Expelled is similar to if I was to make a movie about how scientists don’t consider a "flat earth theory" valid. If I even attempted to counter the theory that the earth is round, and say the earth way flat, I would (rightfully) be ignored and laughed at.

Not only do they not have any evidence, but they don’t have a theory. The irreducible complexity bullshit is a hypothesis which has been soundly refuted.

Yes, the theory is very simple: God created the laws of physics, he created the universe, he created the earth, he created all life, and he created mankind. Then, just in case you didn’t think that was enough, he then sent his son to die on a cross so we can all go to Heaven when we die.
That is the pretty well the theory. Ok, I missed a few bits along the way, but I’m sure you can fill in the blanks yourself.
However, I do think you should be cautious when reading books or watching programs and movies from a non-Christian writer which purport to show a Christian perspective because many of them don’t. For example, many "Christian" characters are portrayed as immoral, weak, indecisive or lacking intelligence. While I’m sure there are Christians like that, the fact is the majority aren’t like that. Just looking at your description of the character portrayed as a Christian scientist makes me suspicious that the script writers and the directors aren’t Christians and weren’t actually interested in Creation because that character could only say "God did it". Mind you, I guess that is just as stupid as a scientist who says "Evolution did it".
In regards to what evidence there is, it comes down to what sort of evidence you want. In one sense, life is here, so that is proof that something happened. As far as we can tell, we are "it". There isn’t life anywhere else in the universe. So whatever happened so life got here was pretty unique.
Another way of looking at evidence is to look at new discoveries to see whether they are consistent with your "how we got here" hypothesis. If we consider Darwin’s simple cell, all the modern discoveries seem to be inconsistent with it, but are consistent with "God did it".
The only reason Evolution is ever given any credibility is because the alternative is "God did it", and that upsets people who don’t like God.
