Brian Picolo is an up and coming football player who is diagnosed with cancer and his roomate is Gayle Sayers. They end up being roomates and forming a friendship. Even as I write this my eyes well up. It’s heartbreaking true story that will grown men cry!!!
If you watch, watch the 1971 version with James Caan and Billy Dee Williams. Even the music will make you cry

Into the Wild – changed the way I think. I really recommend this.
Blow – about drugs, and the movie isn’t really sad until you get to the ending.
