What is the best method for digestion of water for Trace metal analysis by AAS?
I work with an AAS equipment and i have some water samples to run in order to determine the concentration of metals in them.I want to know the variuos types of pre-tretment before the final analysis.

Which metals? What kind of water?

If it’s from a sewage treatment plant, there’s going to be a lot more organic crud which could complex the metal ions, affecting how efficiently they are atomized. You’d need a lot of pretreatment in that case, to remove the organic stuff without removing the metals.

If you’ve got tap water, then that’s probably OK to go in without any pretreatment at all (a submicron filter never hurt anybody).

There is no single "one size fits all" way to "digest water" for this or anything else – it all depends on the sample.

That documentary movie , 2004, The Ganja Queen caught with 10 pounds of marijuana in her luggage and they gave her 20 years, I believe she was innocent and somebody else put the marijuana in her luggage.

Yes I do think it is possible for people to get framed when passing through boarders especially in foreign countries where drugs are more prevalent. There was a movie called Broken Down Palaces w/Claire Danes a few years back that was about this very topic. Great movie. The locals find someone naive & get them to trust them & plant something on them or their luggage. I think it is very common.

I got pricked by a rusty nail? (Please help, urgent)?
Hello.

I was walking home from school today, and I went to climb a fence that was barb wired, and it was extremely rusty. I slipped, and my hand was slightly pricked (it bled a bit). I put peroxide on it, washed it with water and soap, and then put a band aid on it. I believe I had a tetanus shot when I was little, but I cannot say for sure, and I am not sure when I did. I am horrified that I’m going to ignore it, get sick, and die.

Can someone please help me out here? I’m really scared. I’m only 14. Thanks everyone.

You usually only get tetanus if the wound is deep. Tetanus needs to get deep in your body, far from the air, in order to infect you.

The reason a rusty nail can give you tetanus is not the rust, but the fact it can stick deep into your foot. Also, a rusty nail was probably lying on the ground for a while, where dogs can go to the bathroom on it and people with stuff on their shoes can step on it.

Tetanus shots are good for 7 to 10 years.

and guess what, I Love It!..

the movie has a certain peculiarity in it, that will make you attached to it, and eventually love it.
